Between 2005 and 2009, the bodies of eight women from Jennings, a small town in Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana, were found in canals, on rural roads and in woods around the town, and the last beside Interstate 10. Most of the women knew one another, and several were related. Many of the bodies were badly decomposed, which made the causes of death hard to establish. A task force of 14 federal, state and local agencies was formed in December 2008, but none of the deaths has been solved. Anyone with information can contact the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office.
